Happy Father’s Day!

Wellness at Vienna Square
Aqua Group Fitness Classes Mondays at 10 a.m.
Aqua classes are a good way to stay cool in the summer! The low impact workout will include cardiovascular and resistance training led by a professional instructor. Meet in the pool at 10 a.m. on Mondays.
Sun Safety Seminar & Skin Cancer Screening
Learn the most common myths about skincare, sun protection and skin cancer. Central Florida Dermatology will present an informative program and offer complimentary skin cancer screening on Thursday, June 17. The program is at 3:30 p.m. followed by the private screenings. This wellness program will be part of the monthly community information meeting.
Social Activities & Special Events at Vienna Square
Ladies Coffee Meet & Greet Wednesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be served. Please sign up in the Clubhouse Lobby. The month’s social gathering will be hosted by Ann (863.875.3403) and Meg (863.268.8039).
Dinner and A Movie Thursday, June 10 at 4:30 p.m. On the menu for June: BBQ pork, baked beans, chips, potato salad salad, and dessert. The cost is $5 per person. Contact Will Parker (863.875.3403) for tickets and sign up in the Clubhouse. Please note – the Sociables monthly meeting is now scheduled at 3:30 p.m. before Dinner and A Movie.
Dance & Karaoke Party June 12 at 7 p.m. This free and fun activity is with DJ Jim Reid. Bring your own favorite beverage and an appetizer or dessert to share. You will hear the best songs from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Whether residents like to sing, dance or listen to great music, there is something for everyone! The party starts at 7 p.m. in the Clubhouse! Please sign up in the lobby. Although there is no charge to attend the event, Jim Reid will be accepting both song requests and gratuities!

Ladies Luncheon June 16 All ladies will want to have lunch with Vienna Square friends and neighbors. The group will travel to nearby Olive Garden. Please meet in the Clubhouse by 11:30 a.m. to carpool for a noon luncheon. Judy Jave can answer any other questions at 863.956.2471

Horseshoe Tournament June 23 at 9 a.m. Congratulations to May winners Fred Rothfelder and Fred Francis. Ed & Elaine Wilkening are putting together another horseshoe tournament June 23 at 9 a.m. – note the new time (a bit earlier to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures). Men and women are encouraged to sign up for this friendly competition!

Potluck Dinner June 24 Join others in the Clubhouse at 6 p.m. – please sign up in advance and indicate appetizer, main dish or dessert. The Sociables will furnish soft drinks. Everyone is encouraged to participate and make this a fun night! Call Chuck Bendersky with any questions at 863.268.8032.

Do you have an idea for a new activity or special event at Vienna Square? Remember calling or e-mailing to schedule the room and space is one of the first steps with planning any activity. June 10 Sociables meeting @ clubhouse @ 3:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend. It is open to all residents & is an open forum meeting. These meetings are where we get ideas & suggestions for future events that are for residents only (guests and relatives are included). Hope to see you there. Vienna Square Community Information & Sun Safety Seminar -- Thursday, June 17 at 3:30 p.m. Joe Hunter will also be on site. The Community Director will advise residents concerning facility maintenance, ARC guidelines, common-area landscaping and/or other community affairs. Residents who are representing various activities will be introduced and have an opportunity to share with their neighbors. Please contact Tricia Adams at 863.324.6032 to add any items to the agenda.

June 10 Up– at 6:30 p.m. A computer animated film about the adventures of a feisty 70 year old. Rated PG; 96 minutes. Voice animation by Ed Asner.
June 17 – Crazy Heart at 7 p.m. A worn down country singer and a young journalist form a significant bond. Rated R; 111 minutes – Starring Jeff Bridges.
June 24 – Invictus at 7 p.m. A political drama about how soccer was used to bring blacks and whites together after the fall of apartheid in South Africa. PG-13; 133 minutes – Starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.

Funtime Bowlers - Fridays Join Will and Ann Parker for a bowling outing every Friday at 10 a.m. – residents do not need to join a league, just come any Friday!
